Coach Allen Friesen began coaching at Dana in 2003. He earned his bachelor's degree from Mesa State College in Colorado and his master's degree from Fort Hays State University. He previously served as assistant football coach/recruiting coordinator and assistant softball coach at Dakota State University.

Coach Friesen also serves as the defensive coordinator for the Viking football program.
